Obama Tells Government Agencies To Use Mobile Apps

obama tells government agencies to use mobile appsPresident Barack Obama has told all government agencies to begin using mobile apps and app services, according to a statement by Reuters.

Obama released a memo called “Digital Government: Building a 21st Century Platform to Better Serve the American People”.  This enforces that each government agency to use two mobile apps and make their services available on mobile phones within one year.

“Americans deserve a government that works for them anytime, anywhere, and on any device,” Obama said in a statement.

Since Obama was elected, he has been a fan of mobile and tech and can often be using his blackberry more and more often.  His 2008 election was widely praised for the way it effectively used the Internet and social media.
