Architect and environmentalist, Peter Bahouth of Atlanta, had always had a passion for tree houses. Ever since he built his first one as a child he was hooked. Well as an adult he picked a prime piece of real estate among a forest in the hills of Atlanta. He looked back on his enormous, tree filled backyard and knew just what to do. He decided to build somewhat of a fort for adults! He had the perfect backyard for just such a build. This isn’t just any treehouse though. He actually built 3 different tree houses and connected them with bridges. Take a look at this small paradise of backyard tree houses hidden in the trees.
He dubbed the three houses, “mind, body and spirit”.
They are all connected with a beautifully lit bridge.
The three tree houses are right in his backyard offering incredible views of the surrounding Atlanta forest.
The views are truly serene.
Each of the houses feature giant repurposed windows that open wide to allow the breeze to come in.
The bridges are handmade and are the perfect pathway to connect these beautiful, rustic tree houses.
I would love to spend my evenings lounging around in the Atlanta forest.
The decor inside matches the exterior perfectly. Everything has a weathered antique look as if its been in the forest forever.
This picturesque paradise among the trees looks like a calming place to be. I can’t think of a better way to use a forest for a backyard. I don’t think I would ever leave this place he calls “mind, body and spirit”.
