In Brisbane, Australia two 20 year old men (Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi) have taken it upon themselves to make a huge impact on their community. These two friends had a vision to “restore respect, raise health standards, and reduce strain on resources”. They came up with an idea that is rapidly growing attention and momentum around Brisbane. They created a non-profit organization that all started with purchasing a van. This van was no ordinary van at all.
These two had a vision that was going to require getting their hands dirty and retrofitting a van to suite their needs.
They started by adding walls and a heavy duty electrical system.
With the walls in place and the electrical system wired, Lucas assembled a heavy duty platform.
It was time to paint. They had only one option, orange. The name of the non-profit they created was Orange Sky Laundry.
The interior of the van was complete and came out perfect.
