Mental illness affects millions and millions of people throughout the United States, and many more around the world. Mental illness never affects two different people in the exact same way. If you know anything about struggling with mental illness, you know it can be one of the most difficult things to deal with. It can affect the way you deal with your friends, family and even how you feel and treat yourself. Sarah Davies is one of the millions of people who have dealt with some form of mental illness. She went through a time where she dealt with undiagnosed fibromyalgia. This mental illness can cause muscular pain, mood issues and amplified sensitivity to pain. These sculptures in Alaska are Sarah’s way of shining light on an issue that needs more attention around the world. Her story is incredibly inspirational.
